How it works
The Stitch
Put your clips in, say what you want, and get one edited film back.
Open The StitchStep by step
- 1
Add your clips
Up to 20 clips of any size or shape: phone, camera or generated. Put them in order.
- 2
Say what you want
For example: about 30 seconds, fast cuts at the start, slow down for the dialogue, end on the wide shot of the sea.
- 3
It listens first
The Stitch listens to every clip and finds each spoken line. A spoken line is never cut, unless you ask for it.
- 4
The editor cuts
It looks through every clip, follows your notes, cuts on action, trims dead air, and cuts out mistakes and moments where the camera or a person doubles back.
- 5
The review
A review agent watches the edit and lists what is still wrong, and the editor edits again.
- 6
Tell it what to change
Not happy yet? Say what to change in your own words, or tap a quick option like "Make it shorter". Exact changes ("cut from 0:05 to 0:08", "mute the cough at 0:12") change only that moment and keep the rest of the edit. Other wishes (shorter, faster, hold the last shot) make a new edit that follows them. You can also cut or mute an exact moment yourself, free, and undo it.
- 7
Download
Download the finished film.
The film craft inside
The Stitch works from the editing rules in the library: never cut a spoken line unless you ask, keep the story in order, cut out mistakes and double-backs, trim dead air, and give every piece time to read.
What it costs
- The Stitch runs on your own fal.ai key (Account → API keys).
- Each clip is listened to once, for its spoken lines: about $0.01 a clip or less.
- The editor uses a low-cost model and the review uses Claude Opus 5.5: an edit with its review usually costs about $0.20–0.60, depending on the length and how many review rounds it takes.
- Editing again with your changes is one edit and one review, about $0.20–0.60. Cutting or muting an exact moment yourself is free.
Questions
Can I use clips from my phone?+
Yes. Clips of any size, shape and frame rate are brought to one format before the edit.
Will it cut someone off mid-sentence?+
No. The Stitch listens to every clip first, and no cut lands inside a spoken line. A line is only left out when your notes ask for it, for example "cut the part where he says hello".
What if a clip has music or other languages?+
Speech is found in any language. If a clip can’t be listened to, all of its sound is protected instead, so a line is never at risk.
