How it works

From an idea to the screen

Lanternhouse is a set of apps that hand a film from one to the next. Each one works from written-down film craft, checks its own work, and lets you step in at every stage.

  1. 1

    Script Doctor

Write, analyze and polish 1–5 minute short film scripts.

Built on 15 story principles: scene purpose, conflict, stakes, setup and payoff, subtext and more.

  2. 2

    Shot Director

Turn a finished script into a production shot breakdown.

Built on a 110-rule shot rulebook: coverage, the 180° and 30° rules, lens and lighting, cut motives, time for every line.

  3. 3

    StoryFlow

Turn your script into a finished short film: your cast and sets drawn once and kept identical, every shot storyboarded from Shot Director’s camera plan, animated with voices and sound, each clip checked and redone if it drifts, then cut and reviewed by an AI editor.

Continuity rules: the same faces, costumes, props and places in every shot, screen direction held, every clip checked against the script.

  4. 4

    Shot Generator

Make video shots with Seedance, Kling or Wan: name your characters, places and props with @, add a first and last frame, and see the price before you press go.

Speaks each model’s language: your @elements become the pictures and names that Seedance, Kling or Wan understand.

  5. 5

    Poster Studio

Design a real movie poster: genre-driven art, proper typography, and a thumbnail readability check.

Poster rules for 8 genres: palette, type, imagery and layout, plus a thumbnail readability test.

  6. 6

    The Stitch

Put your clips in, say what you want, get one edited film: every spoken line kept whole, dead air trimmed, mistakes cut out, reviewed and re-edited until it works.

Editing rules: never cut a spoken line unless you ask, trim dead air, cut out mistakes and double-backs.
